Freight Management Service
ACS provides shippers a unique service; a comprehensive Freight Management Program that is tailored to your specific freight requirements. Your Freight Management Program is your framework for implementing your most effective and cost efficient day-to-day shipping operation.

The main components of your program are the services provided by ACS to manage your transportation program to lower your freight costs, improve service, provide accurate pre-audit and prompt payment of your freight bills. Our program begins with the solutions that simplify the carrier negotiation process, giving you more control over the management of your freight costs.

We establish a standard base of rates for your company with multiple freight classifications reduced to a single FAK class. A standard base of rates is central to our program for many reasons. The most obvious reason is that, with all carriers discounting off a common scale, you can easily determine the carriers who offer the best pricing.

We prepare and mail bid packages to the carriers who will be participating in bidding your freight. The bid packages contain the information needed by the carriers to price your freight. Bid packages include a description of your freight, reports of your shipping activity, rate tables, and carrier contracts.

We negotiate the best possible pricing for your company by leveraging the high volume of freight shipped by all of our clients. Once final bids have been received, we calculate the savings you will gain as a result of our negotiations and meet with you to review our findings and to offer our suggestions. You make the final decision as to which carriers you will use.

We negotiate contracts between you and the carriers you have selected. The contracts offer you protection and save you money.

We constantly cycle bid your freight as opportunities arise to reduce your freight cost.

We pre-audit and pay your freight bills weekly.

We handle disputes with carriers regarding reasons for short paid bills, etc.

We provide payment information at our web site for shipper and carrier inquiries.

We provide you with the software to rate your shipments

We provide you with routing guides to route your shipments

We provide you with routing non-compliance reports so you can monitor your shipments to make sure your preferred carriers are being utilized in order to maximize your freight savings.

We provide you with management reports that give you the information you need to manage your freight.

We provide professional traffic consulting when you need it.

Business Model
ACS acts as an agent of the shipper during the carrier negotiation process. As your agent, we are always acting in your best interest to help you pick and choose any carrier in the marketplace that is qualified to haul your freight at the best competitive rates.

ACS does not buy and sell freight.
ACS does not participate in carrier rebate programs.
ACS does not control your freight.

You make the final decision as to which carriers you will use and the final decision on how your shipments will be routed. As your agent, our job is to advise you and to lighten your work load by doing the labor intensive work involved with the carrier negotiation process.

Carrier Relations
ACS is in frequent contact with carriers' regional and national account representatives for various reasons; freight     negotiations, contract negotiations, billing dispute resolution, or getting updates on carrier service and territory changes.
Carrier representatives have seen our operation, know our expertise, and realize we provide prompt and accurate payment of their freight bills. As they know us, they also know other service providers available. This makes your carriers a good source of information regarding the performance level and stability of freight management service companies you may be considering. ACS is confident that, if asked, your carrier representative would recommend our services.
